As an ISO 17025 Accredited Microbiology laboratory, OMIC USA Inc. specializes in testing for harmful pathogens as well as indicator and spoilage organisms in food, feed, beverage, dietary supplements, environmental samples, and more. We provide a wide selection of standard and rapid methodologies, including AOAC, FDA-BAM, USP, ISO, CMMEF, and other methods to perform qualitative and quantitative testing for bacteria, fungi, and enteric viruses.

With fully customizable and pre-selected profiles, coupled with industry-leading turnaround times and highly competitive rates, we provide testing solutions to meet all your specific requirements and help you monitor your operations.

We know accurate, trustworthy, and expedient testing is essential to releasing your products. We routinely start testing the day it arrives at our lab to provide you the fastest turnaround time possible. Normal turnaround time for micro testing is 1-5 days and is dependent on the method.

Common Testing Questions

Please fill out a Sample Submission Form for your sample type. It is imperative that the form be included or emailed with the sample in order to begin testing. Sample entry and analysis will not begin until a completed Sample Submission Form is received.

Sample forms can be e-mailed to sales.us@omicusa.com.

Please contact us to discuss the quantity of sample needed for testing.

Each sample should be securely placed in an individual container and properly sealed to prevent any potential cross contamination or leakage. Samples that need refrigeration should be shipped in a cooler or insulated box on ice. Each sample should be visibly labeled and match the included submission form. Normal receiving hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time (after hours receipt may be scheduled in advance).

Chemical lab: 7 business days

GMO lab: 5 business days

Microbiological lab: 1 to 5 business days (depending on analysis type)

Nutrition: 10-15 business days (depending on sample type)

Rush analysis is an option, and its availability is determined at the time of sample submission.

Please note that additional fees will be applied.

In most cases, we offer rush analysis on Pesticides, Herbicides, GMO, DNA, and Mycotoxins. The amount of time needed depends on how many samples are already in-house, how many samples need to be tested, and the type of sample being analyzed. Typically, clients can rely on the following timelines:

Pesticides/Herbicides/Mycotoxins:

Rush 5-day analysis: Add 50% of the original cost. Rush 3-day analysis: Add 100% of the original cost.

GMO/DNA:

Rush 3-day analysis: Add 50% of the original cost. Rush 24-hour: Add 100% of the original cost.

Currently OMIC USA Inc. offers e-mailed electronic copies of results. Hard copies can be sent upon request.
