Most Popular Profiles

The OMIC USA Basic Pesticide Profile offers a combination of organophosphates, organochlorines, pyrethroids and some non-ionic herbicides. Utilizing Triple Quad Mass Spectrometry in conjunction with the QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged, and Safe) extraction procedure, we are offering a screen of 292 pesticides. The majority of compounds have a 10 ppb Limit of Quantification (LOQ), where the LOQ is defined as ten times Signal to Noise (detection limit may be influenced by sample type). Some analytes may be excluded from the screen and LOQs raised due to specific matrix interferences or requirements.

The OMIC USA Extended Pesticide Profile offers a combination of organophosphates, organochlorines, pyrethroids, carbamates and organonitrogen pesticides, including pesticides, both past and present, that are most commonly used worldwide. Utilizing Triple Quad Mass Spectrometry in conjunction with QuEChERS extraction procedure, we are offering a screen of 476 pesticides.

This new profile is an alternative to our most popular Basic and Extended Pesticide Profiles, utilizing High Resolution Accurate Mass Spectroscopy (LC‐HRAMS Orbitrap). We are offering a screen of 727 Compounds (including isomers, metabolites, & mycotoxins). Advantages of this instrumentation include advanced confirmation of compound identity and potential to screen extremely large chemical panels. Some analytes may be excluded or have raised screening detection limits due to signal suppression by specific matrices.

Analytes in our profile are chosen based on the National Organic Program recommendations. The pesticides are extracted using a modified QuEChERS method.

Other Profiles

OMIC USA has methods designed to screen specific classes of herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, antibiotics, mycotoxins, and process contaminants. We are able to provide tailored profiles of tests that suit your specific testing needs.

OMIC USA is able to recommend commodity-specific profiles that fit your budget. By accessing regulatory databases, such as Food Chain ID, OMIC USA can create basic or advanced testing profiles that comply with listed Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) specifications for pesticides in various food commodities for the U.S. and other countries. Current commodity-specific profiles include mint, blueberry, coffee, hop, honey, potato, nut, berry and many more.

Common Testing Questions

Please fill out a Sample Submission Form for your sample type. It is imperative that the form be included or emailed with the sample in order to begin testing. Sample entry and analysis will not begin until a completed Sample Submission Form is received.

Sample forms can be e-mailed to sales.us@omicusa.com.

Please contact us to discuss the quantity of sample needed for testing.

Each sample should be securely placed in an individual container and properly sealed to prevent any potential cross contamination or leakage. Samples that need refrigeration should be shipped in a cooler or insulated box on ice. Each sample should be visibly labeled and match the included submission form. Normal receiving hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time (after hours receipt may be scheduled in advance).

Please send all samples, along with the completed Sample Submission Form, to the following address:

OMIC USA Inc.

3344 NW Industrial St.

Portland, Oregon 97210

Chemical lab: 7 business days

GMO lab: 5 business days

Microbiological lab: 1 to 5 business days (depending on analysis type)

Nutrition: 10-15 business days (depending on sample type)

Rush analysis is an option, and its availability is determined at the time of sample submission.

Please note that additional fees will be applied.

In most cases, we offer rush analysis on Pesticides, Herbicides, GMO, DNA, and Mycotoxins. The amount of time needed depends on how many samples are already in-house, how many samples need to be tested, and the type of sample being analyzed. Typically, clients can rely on the following timelines:

Pesticides/Herbicides/Mycotoxins:

Rush 5-day analysis: Add 50% of the original cost. Rush 3-day analysis: Add 100% of the original cost.

GMO/DNA:

Rush 3-day analysis: Add 50% of the original cost. Rush 24-hour: Add 100% of the original cost.

Please contact us for pricing guides based on the type of testing you are looking for.
